There’s Gotta Be a Pony:

Alanna Bates Carector (Ms.Coco) – A Force in the Room

Some people walk into a room & shifts their mood.

Ms. Coco walks in and lifts the entire room.

She’s joy, discipline, and fire wrapped in one unforgettable force.

Coco’s journey with Ignite runs deep. She started as a student mentor, grew into an executive mentor, stepped into the intern role, and now – when her teaching schedule allows – serves as an Ignite Coach.

And let me be clear: we’ll take every moment we can get.

Because when Coco is in the room, we all rise.

She has a gift for making people laugh one moment and reflect deeply the next. Her energy is fun and fierce — the kind that makes you want to try harder, show up stronger, and be the kind of leader she already sees in you.

She doesn’t just teach. She transforms.

Whether she’s leading a lesson, guiding a mentor team, designing content for Ignite’s CTE leadership course, or painting with passion in her free time — Coco brings purpose to everything she touches.

Her ability to connect the dots between vision and execution, between students and staff, between structure and soul… is breathtaking to watch.

And when she and her sister Aliyah show up together? There’s a certain kind of grace in the room. A rhythm. A pulse. A reminder that leadership rooted in love changes everything.

“There’s gotta be a pony in there somewhere.”

For Coco, the pony is every student who walks away taller – because she believed in them first.

She’s a force. She’s a light. And for those lucky enough to be in her orbit, the impact lasts long after the room clears.
